Overview

Thomas Langdon (“Tom”) focuses his practice on patent prosecution and litigation, drawing on his background in chemical engineering to help clients protect and advance their technical innovations.

Obtaining his B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Missouri, Tom assisted a law firm with a copyright dispute, sparking his interest in intellectual property law.

Staying at the University of Missouri, Tom earned his J.D., graduating cum laude and serving as President of the Association of Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law and Senior Lead Articles Editor of the Missouri Law Review. The Missouri Law Review published two of his student notes, covering issues on patent law, artificial intelligence, injunctions, and the International Trade Commission.

Following graduation, Tom clerked at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, working elbow-to-elbow with the Honorable Duane Benton on opinions. His clerkship sharpened his research and writing, teaching him how best to advocate for a client at trial and on appeal.
