Overview

Jotham Koneri’s practice centers on patent litigation and prosecution, providing essential and comprehensive support to clients from the inception of a matter to its conclusion. His work spans legal research, assisting with drafting, revising, and filing pleadings and motions, communicating with local and opposing counsel, managing discovery, collaborating with experts, preparing for hearings, and conducting document review.

As a former summer associate, Jotham gained hands-on experience preparing legal memoranda on a variety of complex topics such as obviousness-type double patenting, polymorph patents, and means-plus-function claiming.

In law school, Jotham interned at the Federal Circuit, D.C. Superior Court, and El Paso County Public Defender’s Office. Of these opportunities, externing at the Federal Circuit was particularly formative. Tasked with reviewing numerous briefs and patents, Jotham observed how the most effective arguments used scientific clarity to persuade the Court. Jotham now combines this experience with his biochemistry background to produce clear, persuasive work at Rothwell Figg.

Jotham received his B.S. in Biochemistry from Texas Tech University magna cum laude, and was awarded his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of the Federal Communications Law Journal, Student Health Law Association, and the GW Street Law team.
