Overview

Benjamin Fishman plays an integral role in Rothwell Figg’s litigation team, supporting a wide range of tasks essential to successful dispute resolution. His work includes legal research, drafting memoranda and pleadings, managing cases, assisting with discovery, and providing overall operational assistance to ensure efficient resolution of complex legal disputes.

Benjamin received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he graduated with honors and with a concentration in intellectual property. During law school, he was actively involved in various organizations, including AIPLA Quarterly Journal, Jewish Law Student Association, and Tech Law Students Association. He also participated in Mock Trial, Moot Court, and Negotiation Skills competitions, along with volunteering at the Privacy + Security Forum.

As a summer associate at Rothwell Figg following his 2L year, Benjamin conducted in-depth research and drafted detailed memoranda and correspondence on patent law, copyright, and trademark matters, and assisted with a pro bono case. He worked closely with attorneys on projects related to artificial intelligence and intellectual property.

Benjamin also gained valuable litigation experience while clerking at a regional litigation firm during law school. He drafted pleadings, briefs, and internal memoranda on medical malpractice, insurance, and negligence matters; responded to motions in limine; analyzed depositions of medical professionals; prepared page-line summaries; and participated in depositions, mediations, client meetings, expert consultations, hearings, and trial proceedings.

Benjamin received his B.S.B.A. from the University of Miami, summa cum laude, with a major in Business Analytics and a Philosophy minor. Benjamin was awarded Most Outstanding Student in Business Analytics, a distinction given to the student with the highest GPA in the major.
