As stewards of the American Bar Foundation, ABF Fellows support an independent, nonprofit research organization dedicated to advancing the understanding of law and improving the administration of justice. The ABF conducts empirical, interdisciplinary research focused on how law is learned and practiced, how rights are protected and accessed, and how laws are developed and implemented. Its work serves the legal profession, scholars, and the public through publications, programs, and broad dissemination of research findings. Fellows are nominated by their peers and selected by the ABF Board.
