Rothwell, Figg, Ernst & Manbeck (“Rothwell Figg”), based out of Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce that COLLEN IP, a leading intellectual property firm located in New York, has combined its operations with Rothwell Figg. From offices in Washington, D.C., New York, and Boston, the combined operations create a single firm offering the full gamut of IP services with exceptional strength in all aspects of intellectual property and technology law, including patent and trademark prosecution and litigation, unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing and transactions, and privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity. The combined firm will operate under the name Rothwell Figg.

The COLLEN IP team, including Jess Collen, Jeffrey Lindenbaum, James Hastings, Mitchell Radin, and Jane Collen, whose practices are primarily devoted to trademark, anti-counterfeiting, unfair competition, and copyright matters for many world famous brands, complement and expand the already outstanding trademark, copyright, and trade identity practices at Rothwell Figg. The addition of these attorneys enhances both the depth and breadth of services offered by creating a larger and more diverse team of exceptional IP professionals at one firm. Rothwell Figg looks forward to offering its nationally-recognized litigation and patent prosecution expertise, as well as licensing and transactions, privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity, and counseling services, among many others, to COLLEN IP’s clients.

“We are excited to welcome the COLLEN IP team and we look forward to introducing our clients to the expertise and experience that they bring with them,” said Martin Zoltick, a partner at Rothwell Figg.

The combined firm will continue to provide the highest level of service while maintaining the technical knowledge, advanced skill, and professional experience required by our clients.

“We are thrilled with this new combination of such perfectly matched law firms,” says Jess, a partner from COLLEN IP. “If ever a firm reflected ‘synergies’ between two exceptionally complementary practices, this is it. We can’t wait to introduce our clients to a team of leading IP lawyers, which will enable us to offer a great expansion in skills and capabilities.”
