Associate Kristen Logan will participate on a panel titled "Generating IP-Adjacent Firm Income" at the Association of Intellectual Property Firms (AIPF) 2025 Annual Meeting taking place September 10-11, 2025, in San Diego, California.

Kristen and her co-presenters will explore practical and creative ways to turn intellectual property (IP) and various opportunities into additional sources of income and business. Topics will include sustainability initiatives involving counterfeit products, pro bono work, and services inherently related to R&D activities that are not traditionally offered by IP firms, such as tax deductions tied to R&D investments and funding programs from the European Union and the Spanish government.

This year’s Annual Meeting theme is Navigating Firm Economics of the IP Boutique Practice. The network of international attorneys will collaborate and discuss strategic growth planning, operational efficiency, legal technology trends, marketing strategies, and other topics specifically aimed to improve satisfaction and profitability of the IP boutique firm. Additional topics to be covered include:

  • Current Trends in Firm Ownership
  • Engagement and Disengagement of Clients
  • Compensation Structures for Non-Partners
  • In-House Counsel Panel: Why choose IP Boutiques?
  • Allocating Marketing and Networking Dollars
  • Innerworkings of Partnership
