AI-assisted discovery and AI generated inventions have attracted significant interest. In the recent past AI-based companies have been at the center of a wave of deals driven by pharmaceutical corporations looking to enrich their pipeline. Given the impact that AI is already having across so many fields, and the promise that it holds for the future, it is crucial that stakeholders appreciate some important opportunities and challenges presented by AI under current patent law. Brian and his co-panelists will discuss how AI is playing a role in the invention creation process and delve into patentability considerations associated with AI-assisted /generated inventions.
