Brian S. Rosenbloom Member

Brian Rosenbloom has over 20 years of experience in the intellectual property (IP) field and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the “Super Lawyers” list in Washington, DC for the past seven years. Mr. Rosenbloom advises a wide range of clients (including Fortune 100 companies, independent inventors, entrepreneurs, and emerging businesses) in all aspects of patent and related intellectual property matters. A substantial portion of Mr. Rosenbloom’s practice is focused on patent portfolio development and management. Mr. Rosenbloom has helped develop and manage diverse portfolios ranging from dozens of patents to hundreds of patents. Another significant portion of Mr. Rosenbloom’s practice is the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in a broad range of technologies and fields, including telecommunications, wireless networking, cloud computing, blockchain, ad-serving, and other software applications. Mr. Rosenbloom’s practice also involves patent litigation matters in Federal Court, as well as before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and reexaminations.

In the early 1990s, prior to attending law school, Mr. Rosenbloom worked as a software and computer networking engineer for General Electric Information Services in Rockville, MD, where he gained deep knowledge of the Internet Protocols (e.g., IP, TCP, HTTP) and client/server systems (a.k.a., “cloud” computing). Mr. Rosenbloom routinely leverages this knowledge and experience when advising clients, as a large amount of patent litigation involves such Internet technology.
