Rothwell Figg’s Sharon Crane has been elected Deputy Secretary General of FICPI, the only international NGO whose membership consists entirely of IP attorneys in private practice, for the upcoming three year term. Founded more than 100 years ago, the FICPI global community has more than 5,800 members drawn from 86 countries and regions, across six continents. It is driven by a shared interest among like-minded people to promote common solutions and advocacy for private IP practitioners and for their clients.
At the FICPI Executive Committee meeting on September 26, 2022, the Committee delegates voted on election of the Bureau for the 2022-2025 term. The Bureau is elected every three years by the Committee and assumes the duties and responsibilities of the day-to-day management of FICPI. All are FICPI members and all the positions are honorary.
Sharon has been a FICPI member for over two decades. She most recently chaired the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical working group (CET5), and is currently a co-chair of both FICPI’s DEIA and webinar series committees. At the FICPI World Congress 2022, held September 25-29, 2022, Sharon received a President’s Award from retiring President Julian Crump “[i]n recognition of all [her] hard work and extraordinary dedication to FICPI during [his] term as president.”
