Oliver Edwards and Oscar Llorin Have Joined the Firm as Associates (Bar Admission Pending) 

Rothwell Figg is pleased to announce that Oliver Edwards and Oscar Llorin have joined the Firm as associates (Bar admission pending).

Mr. Edwards has been a design engineer of high-performance computers, application specific integrated circuits, board-level systems, and related software and database applications. Before joining the Firm in 2006, he was a student attorney at the Maryland Intellectual Property Legal Resource Center and advised clients regarding patent, trademark, copyright (open source software in particular), and trade secret issues.

Mr. Llorin’s patent prosecution experience includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications in biotechnology, particularly in the fields of DNA probe and antibody-based diagnostics.  His current practice focuses on patent prosecution, evaluating freedom-to-operate positions and litigation in the pharmaceutical field.  Prior to joining the Firm, he was a judicial intern for the Honorable Randall R. Rader, Circuit Judge, at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and later, a judicial intern for Administrative Patent Judges at the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences, United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Prior to graduating from law school, he was a student attorney at the Maryland Intellectual Property Legal Resource Center and advised clients on patent, trademark and copyright issues.
