National Institutes of Health's Investigation Into Inventorship

The firm successfully represented a senior scientist at the National Institutes of Health ("NIH") in an investigation by the NIH into allegations that the scientist-at-issue should not have been listed as a co-inventor on certain patents. Following a two-year investigation during which this firm represented the senior scientist, the NIH concluded that the scientist had been properly named as a co-inventor on those patents, and further determined that the scientist had been improperly omitted as a co-inventor on an additional patent (and directed that the inventorship on such patents be corrected).
