Martin M. Zoltick Appointed to Patent Interferences Committee of Intellectual Property Owners Association
Marty Zoltick has been appointed by IPO President Steven W. Miller to serve a two-year term as a member of the Patent Interferences Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO). The IPO, established in 1972, is a trade association for owners of patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets, and is the only association in the U.S. that serves all intellectual property owners in all industries and all fields of technology. The Patent Interferences Committee studies issues related to interferences before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, reports its findings and recommendations to the IPO Board of Directors. During this term the Committee will continue to consider issues raised by the rules of practice adopted by the PTO implementing procedures that have dramatically changed interference practice. After receiving approval from the Board of Directors, advises the Trial Section of the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences of concerns raised by IPO members and recommendations to address those concerns. |
