Litigation Paralegal

We are currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal, who must be able to handle all aspects of complex litigations, from pre-litigation phase, through trial and appeal.

Responsibilities include: organizing and maintaining case files and databases on a daily basis; maintaining case dockets and advising attorneys of due dates; organizing and coordinating document retrieval and review projects; performing basic legal and factual research; assisting in the preparation of pleadings, exhibits, written discovery and production documents for motions, discovery, hearings and trials; cite checking and proofreading pleadings and other documents; and maintaining up-to-date time reports to ensure accurate client billing.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, the ability to set priorities and multi-task, and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Must have applicable knowledge of federal court rules and procedures, litigation terminology and documentation, and docketing procedures. Qualified candidates must also be computer proficient, with experience and working knowledge of Lexis, Westlaw and other litigation-research databases. Familiarity with case management software, E-Discovery, and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) procedures is also required. IP litigation, PTAB and/or ITC experience is a plus. Must be able to work overtime and some travel may be required.
